In a recent study, 100% of questioned celebrities replied that they have never gotten married. The study was extensive, interviewing a diverse pool of celebrities from all walks of life. When asked why they have never gotten married, the response was unanimous: they just haven’t found the right person yet. We took a closer look at what this research might mean for those of us who are not celebrities.

For the purposes of this study, we will be using the term “celebrity” to refer to anyone who has appeared on reality TV, anyone who has been paid to be in a music video, and anyone with over 100,000 followers on Instagram. If you are not any of those things, don’t worry, we still value your lived experiences! Just maybe not as much as we value the lived experiences of celebrities.

Susan Boyle

Susan Boyle rose to fame when she appeared on Britain’s Got Talent in 2009. She blew away the judges and the audience members at home with her unexpected singing voice and soon received international acclaim from people around the world.

While on the show, Susan made no secret of the fact that she was inexperienced with men. She confessed that she had never kissed a man before and that she had not been in a relationship. In 2014, it was reported that Boyle had found a boyfriend, but she still remains unmarried.

Dana Delany

Dana Delany will always be remembered for her role on the iconic television series, Desperate Housewives. After all, who could forget Katherine Mayfair? With her talent and her beauty, Dana has been able to forge an impressive career for herself, but she has never tied the knot.

The 62-year-old spoke in 2006 about the lack of a ring on her finger and suggested that she was conflicted about marriage. While she is ready to get married, she wants to make sure that it’s to the right man.
