Classic sportswear brand New Balance is launching one of its most heralded silhouettes, the 990, in a clean triple black colourway. From a first glance it looks great, and we’re certain it’s going to be a hit with sneakerheads across the globe.
Triple Black is always a successful colourway, looking clean on almost any silhouette. Now, one of the most popular sneakers of the year so far is being decked out in black shades. The trainer in question is the New Balance 990. It was once shunned by sneakerheads in favour of Air Jordan’s and other models, however due to the recent “dad shoe” trend, its popularity has grown immensely. It looks cleaner than ever in this black rendition – maybe even cleaner than the original grey colourway that we all know and love.
The pair features high quality construction materials throughout, including mixed-material pigskin suede, mesh, leather and a dual density collar foam. The midsole features ENCAP technology, which allows for a more than comfortable ride when wearing the sneakers for prolonged lengths of time. The model is finished off with New Balance’s iconic “N” logo in the centre, and a 990 emblem on the rear of each shoe.
If you’re as keen on this stealthy New Balance offering as we are, the good news is that it’s already available for purchase via select retailers, and it’s set to hit more soon. As far as we know, the pair is a general release, however even so a colourway this clean might not be around forever, so if you’re planning to cop we’d move sooner rather than later.
