by Pharrell Williams and Adidas are back again with another exclusive sneaker collaboration, releasing new coalourways of their budget sneaker – the Adidas Tennis HU. Available in stores now in a Charcoal black and tonal grey colourway, read on to find out more about the collaboration and sneaker.
Unlike other models of sneaker by Adidas and Pharrell, the Tennis Hu wont break the bank. Coming in at a very reasonable £60, it’s a budget alternative to Pharrell’s other Adidas sneaker models which can have extortionate prices.
Bar Kanye and his Yeezy sneakers, Adidas Originals by Pharrell Williams is undoubtedly the biggest celebrity collaborative sneaker by Adidas. The ridiculously successful (and priced) Chanel x Pharrell HU NMD, is one such example, retailing exclusively at the Parisian retailer Colette at an eye watering $1180 (about £880). His Human Race NMD collection of 2016 is another example, selling out within minutes and now reselling for upward of £1000.
Now, back to the reason for this article – two new iterations of the budget sneaker, the Adidas Originals by Pharrell Tennis HU. Each version of the budget silhouette enjoys a snug Primeknit upper, in either Charcoal Black or Tonal Grey. The comfortable and fitting upper sits upon a textured EVA midsole that has become synonymous with the Tennis silhouette. Featuring the same “Pharrell Williams” branded heel tab as the Grammy winning artists NMD collection, fans can grab some branded Pharell x Adidas merchandise for a fraction of the cost. In stark contrast to the aforementioned NMD sneakers, these Tennis shoes will set you back a comfortable £60.
