M6 intends to put your eyes with new day, its new and first daily soap opera, in the vein of such a great sun, here it all starts, tomorrow belongs to us, or even more beautiful life, even more beautiful, broadcast with competition.
Welcome to Domaine Bartoli
This program plunges the viewer into a family, the Bartoli, at the head of a magnificent 4 star. The Patriarch, Lucien, having disappeared at sea, it was his eldest daughter, Louise, who took over the reins of the estate. The return to town of her niece, Théa, with whom she had no contact, will completely reshaped the cards in a family that hides many secrets.
As you can see, the main decor of the series is this magnificent hotel, in the center of the Bartoli estate. The imposing building is a character in its own right. Is it a real hotel? The production has actually invested in the castle of the Capion Domaine, located in Aniane, 30 minutes from Montpellier.
The building dates from the 16th century, and is surrounded by 45 hectares of vines and French gardens. M6 now praises the castle full time, after having renovated it in three months.
New day
“The heritage aspect of the castle has been preserved but happily modernized to become accessible to all”explain the decorative chiefs Hérald Najar and Maël Herrero in the M6 press kit.
The other sets
The shooting of a new day is not limited to the decor of the hotel, but is also divided between the studios of Vendargues – where a great sun is also filmed – for the interiors (in particular the apartment of Tarek and the house of the Thea family) and a 3000 m2 backlot, that is to say a permanent outdoor decor which reproduces streets of Montpellier and gives the illusion of a real district.
