What is NIFT?
The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is an autonomous institution that provides management, technology, design, and fashion courses. The Government of India’s Ministry of Textiles created NIFT in 1986. The headquarter of NIFT is located in New Delhi, India.
There are now 17 campuses for NIFT all around the nation. In 1986, the first campus opened in Haus Khaz, New Delhi. Chennai, Kolkata, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, and Mumbai campuses Jodhpur, Kangra, Kannur, Patna, Raebareli, Shillong, Srinagar, and Panchkula in addition to Bhopal and Bhubaneshwar in 2010.
NIFT Exam 2023
The entrance test for the UG and PG design programs provided by NIFT institutes, the NIFT 2023, will be administered by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT).
17 National Institutes of Fashion Technologies all over the country are taking part in NIFT 2023. (NIFTs). The NIFT 2023 exam results or merit rank will be used to determine admission to these institutions. A collaborative, online counseling-cum-seat allotment process will be carried out after the announcement of the NIFT 2023 results.

NIFT Exam 2023 Eligibility
NIFT Exam 2023 Eligibility Criteria for educational qualification and age limit is given below.
Age Criteria:
- For UG courses, the applicant’s age cannot exceed 24; however, there is no age restriction for PG programmes.
- Additionally, SC/ST applicants will get 5-year age relaxation.
Education requirements:
- Candidates for the B.F.Tech (Apparel Production) programme must have passed the 12th grade with honors in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from an accredited board or institution.
- B. Programs: The applicant must have earned their 10+2 diploma from an accredited university or board.
- Candidates for the M.F.Tech programme must hold a B.F.Tech from NIFT or a B.Tech/B.E. from an accredited institution or university.

NIFT 2023 Registration Procedure
The registration process of NIFT is included in four stages-
- Online registration: To register, students must provide information such as phone numbers and email addresses. On successful registration, an applicant account will be created.
- Fill out the form – Next, you must complete several fields, including those for academics, categories, and personal information. Additionally, You have to choose the examination center for NIFT 2023
- Document Upload- Documentation must be uploaded in the specified format, together with scanned copies of any required signatures and other documents.
- Pay the application fee – You may pay the application fee for ofNIFT Exam 2023 via an online credit card, debit card, or net banking account. A general category candidate must pay INR 3,000 and INR 1,500 for reserved categories.

NIFT Exam 2023 Pattern
- The NIFT 2023 test will be given in pen-and-paper format (offline).
- The question paper will have multiple-choice questions, and the number and type of questions will vary based on the programme.
- For the B.F.Tech, M.F.Tech, MFM, B.Des, and M.Des entrance exams, you will have two hours to complete the paper.
- The test will be broken up into several sections including ones for quantitative ability, analytical thinking, English comprehension, communication skills, current events, and general knowledge.
- The question paper will be available in both Hindi and English.
- There is no negative marking in NIFT Exam 2023.
NIFT Exam 2023 Exam Stages
Two stages of the NIFT 2023 entrance test will be administered:
Writing Exams – The Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT) are the initial written exams taken by the candidate. Only candidates for the B.Des and M.Des programmes are required to take the CAT test, while the GAT test is required for all programmes.
Situation Test / Group Discussion and Personal Interview -The written test results (CAT and GAT) will be utilized to narrow the field of candidates for the Situation Test (B.Des)/Group Discussion and Personal Interview (all PG programs).
