Ready to cop a pair of historic Jordan’s? Coming this Friday the Nike Air Jordan 6 Retro Black Infrared hits the stores and it’s back in all its glory and original colourway.
Nike have a treat for us this Black Friday! The release of the Nike Air Jordan 6 back to it’s original colourway. These iconic Jordan’s are reflective of the pair that Jordan wore to his very first championship games. The only way Nike could have made them closer to the original would have been to put the “Nike Air” logo on the back – but we all love the “Jumpman” right?

Another Tinker Hatfield creation (he’s a sneaker OG incase you didn’t know), the Air Jordan VI is every Jordan fan favourite. Old school Jordan heads love them and new school sneaker collectors can understand the futuristic design.
For this design Jordan asked Hatfield to reinforce the toe and make the design cleaner, making this the first pair of Jordan with this look. This was due to the fact that Jordan had trouble putting on the other Jordan designs. To increase the ease Tinker put two holes in the top of the tongue and a loop on the back calling it “the spoiler”.
Another addition to the shoe was incorporating the number “23” into the design – a nod to Jordan’s vest number. When the shoes first dropped it came out in 5 colourways and retailed at $125.
