Nike Launches a “Deconstructed” Air Max 1 Ultra | Curated Mint

The “deconstructed” design idea has been a huge success with different models in the past. Now, Nike have treated the Air Max 1 to exposed stitching and an inner boot liner, making it a very “deconstructed” silhouette – read on to find out more.

The Nike Air Max 1 Ultra 2.0 is an updated version of the Air Max 1 we all know and love. Featuring the classic silhouette of the original, but modernised new features and looks, it’s guaranteed to be a hit this winter. The obvious new feature here is the addition of exposed stitching around the toe box.

Alongside the exposed stitching, bright colours such as neon green and pink are featured throughout, as well as a sock like boot liner with a pull tab on the heel. The loud and statement detailing is contrasted extremely well by a mushroom coloured upper, constructed of several contrasting materials. The model is the perfect update for the classic sneaker, just in time for winter, as it features more resistant and hard-bearing materials.

If you want to pick up a pair of these brightly coloured updated classics, the good news is that they’re available now from select retailers, and via Nike directly. There’s no mad hype surrounding the pair, and they’re a general release, so if you’re holding out til payday don’t panic, as they should still be available then.
