OnePlus 7 Pro is it really Worth it?

OnePlus 7 Pro is it Worth it?

When you look at a useful phone, top of your head you think Apple’s iPhone or Samsung and its lineup. These are the phones that are superior in build, performance, and display. Sure there are still others out there like the Pixel and Huawei phones, but let’s face it if we’re talking top notch then Apple and Samsung are the ones. But before we conclude that these are the only best phones out there, OnePlus seven pro has got something up its sleeve, and that said something is the OnePlus 7 Pro. They claim this phone is as high end as Samsung’s S10 Plus and Apple’s iPhone XS Max. But here’s the real clincher, it costs hundreds less than these above-mentioned phones.

OnePlus 7 Pro

You can get the OnePlus 7 between the ranges from $669 to $749. OnePlus is a company that is known to make phones way above what you pay for them. Talk about value for money. Now with the OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus hopes to challenge the big wigs. Here’s what we got on OnePlus’ latest and greatest.

Talking Build First with the OnePlus 7 Pro:

When you pay a lot for a phone, the first thing you see to justify your purchase is its build. The phone should feel worth the buy. When it comes to the OnePlus 7 Pro the phone feels like it costs. It has a glass back and front which curves toward a metal border that plays the part of its frame. More than this it comes in a matt finish and an array of colors to finish off its appearance. Besides this, it also comes with several cameras in vertical orientation sitting at the back of the phone.

The Screen Steals the Show in the OnePlus 7 Pro:

If you take a look at the OnePlus 7 Pro, right of the bat you’d notice that it is a big phone. It is almost as big or even more significant than the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. The phone spans about 6.5 inches diagonally. The most appealing thing about the front of the phone is its motorized pop-up camera. As pop cameras are relatively new in the market, this makes the OnePlus 7 Pro even more enjoyable. Besides being an exciting addition, the main idea behind it is to allow the screen to be edge to uninterrupted edge, that is without having a cutout for the camera or a notch.

Since we’re talking about uninterrupted screen space, the bezels are quite thin and at the edges the phone curves in much like on the Samsung Galaxy phones.

The OnePlus 7 Pro’s screen is of the out high quality much like what you’d expect to see on an iPhone or a Samsung phone. When you look at the display, there are certain things you look out for like high resolution, bright and vibrant color display. Well, the OnePlus 7 Pro ticks all these boxes and more. Just like a top- end phones, it comes with an OLED display and also comes with sliders to customize the colors like sRGB or P3. Even if you leave the phone on its default “vivid,” it still is pretty good.

Taking it one step more, the phone has an increased refresh rate of 90Hz rather than 60Hz. This means that everything feels fast, and more importantly, there is no stutter. The OnePlus 7 Pro also comes with a feature that changes the refresh rate or resolution depending on the app you’re using.

Before we forget, the OnePlus 7 Pro comes with an in – display finger sensor which is nothing new but this one works well even better than what you’ve got with the Samsung Galaxy S10 lineup.

Fast Sensor on the OnePlus 7 Pro?

OnePlus has gone in for an optical sensor. This means that the display lights up a bright green circle where you place your finger on. This, however, does not work if your finger is wet or dirty, understandably. The thing with scanners is that they are sometimes small and you have to place your finger in just the right position to get it scanned. But this not with the OnePlus 7 Pro. It comes with an ample enough space for studying your finger, and you do not have to keep placing your finger this way or that to get it right.

If fingerprint scanning isn’t your thing, then the OnePlus 7 Pro has got face recognition software too. The front camera pops up, reads your face in a few seconds, and Presto! Your phone is open.

A camera on the OnePlus 7 Pro:

This phone comes packed with it. It has a popup selfie camera, the sensor one, a wide angle one and a 3x telephoto one as well. When it comes to good phones, the most common factor for dragging them down is the camera. The phone does turn out some good photos, even almost as good as the Galaxy S10 and the iPhone XS.

Let’s take a look at performance on this phone:

This phone is super- fast. It comes with all the specs that you’d commonly see in a top end phone. Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor- check, high RAM- check and loads and loads of space- Check. Depending on your model you have a choice between 6, 8 or even 12GB RAM. Speaking about storage, there is an option between 128GB or 256GB, again depending on your variant. The RAM is LPDDR4X, and the warehouse is UFS 3.0, which is the highest you can lay your hands on at present.

What all this means is that the phone is fast. Apps stay open for longer; responsiveness is quick also because of the high refresh rate.

The OnePlus 7 Pro comes with 4000mAh of battery life which runs a whole day and half of the other, with moderate use. With high usage, it lasts for an entire day.
