The OnePlus 8 Pro has a display that is about a quarter inch larger than the regular OnePlus 8, so there is not a huge difference. Coming in at 513 pixels-per-inch, the 8 Pro has about 25% higher resolution than the regular 8, but it was not a bargain for our hands-on experience. The OnePlus 8 Pro also has a motion-smoothing feature that helps create a slightly smoother user experience and sharper images, a feature that, while regularly lacking the OnePlus 8, does not cause any drawbacks.

From a design standpoint, the two phones are quite similar, though slightly lighter, thinner, and smaller in dimensions than the OnePlus 8 8 Pro. The two phones are virtually identical to the naked eye, saving their overall dimensions, and feature the same curved edges and back camera bump.

While both phones have almost the same design, the OnePlus 8 has a significant reduction in the IP68 rating of the OnePlus 8 Pro. This means that 8 is not rated for water and dust resistance and is only splash-proof. That, with faster screens and higher refresh rates, suggests Sui for us.

The winner: OnePlus 8 Pro

Performance, battery life and charging

Both the 8 Pro and Regular 8 have the same Snapdragon 865 Qualcomm processor and optional 8 or 12 GB RAM. Both devices ran smoothly on our hands-on experience. The OnePlus 8 Pro has a slightly larger battery, which offers a 4,510mAh battery compared to the OnePlus 8’s 4,300mAh. OnePlus 8 Pro also has wireless charging, which the OnePlus 8 does not have. As more smartphone users become accustomed to cutting the cord during charging, the lack of wireless charging is certainly notable.

OnePlus 8 strives for this with its rapid-charging feature, which sees phone charge up to 50% in about 20 minutes. It’s impressive and comes in handy when you’re running low, but we like to see wireless charging, like its older sibling.

The winner: OnePlus 8 Pro

The camera

The position of the camera on these devices is interesting and varied. Before declaring the winner, let’s dig a little bit. The OnePlus 8 features a 48MP wide-angle main lens paired with an acceptor, although a 16MP ultra-wide lens with a 2MP macro lens has been added. It takes good pictures, but it’s clear that it wasn’t focused on this device and was probably an area where OnePlus was able to cut costs.

The OnePlus 8 Pro, on the other hand, comes with 48MP wide-angle lens, 48MP ultra wide lens and 8MP telephoto lens that offers 3x optical zoom. OnePlus tried to add a unique twist to the OnePlus 8 Pro through the inclusion of a color filter included in the camera. This basically allows you to take inverted images, although we’re not sure what purpose it serves or why it’s actually included. Both phones feature 16MP selfie cameras on the front of the devices, and both feature 4K video recording.

While it is clear that none of these camera systems beat the best Android platform cameras on the market, the OnePlus 8 Pro still captures far better images than the OnePlus 8.

the winner: OnePlus 8 Pro

Software and updates

Both OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro run on OxygenOS 10.5, which is based on Android 10.0. Their software is similar from the ground up. We go into further detail on the OS itself Hands review OnePlus 8 Pro, but we’ve generally found it to be one of our favorite manufacturer’s skins for Android.

The update status is similar, and you can expect both phones to receive at least two major Android updates. OnePlus is quite fast where updates are concerned, and when each of these phones receives an update, you shouldn’t see a huge difference. it’s a tie.

Winner: Tie

OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro are both ready Tomorrow’s 5G connectivity And many major metro areas can take advantage of today’s slim roll out but exciting 5G. If you’re looking for that special and you have an affinity for taking weird color photos, the OnePlus 8 Pro’s color filter feature will tickle your fans, but it’s far less frequent for the “special”.

the winner: OnePlus 8 Pro

Price and availability

OnePlus 8 Pro costs $ 1,000 for 12GB RAM / 256GB storage version Review, Or $ 900 for the 8GB / 128GB model. The OnePlus 8 starts at $ 700 for the 128GB version with 8GB of RAM. Both models can be purchased directly and unlocked with OnePlus. They are also available from Verizon and T-Mobile, but will, of course, be discontinued for their respective carriers.

Overall Winner: OnePlus 8 Pro

A “pro” model is usually titled for a reason, and OnePlus isn’t about to rewrite that rule. With its high-end performance, genuine IP68 certification, wireless charging, more robust camera, and yes, even its weird color filter toy, OnePlus 8 Pro Is a stronger smartphone than its cheaper counterpart. whereas Oneplus 8 Still a great smartphone, in most situations you should seriously consider going out for the Pro model.
