Wednesday, May 26, 2025, Canal+ invites its subscribers to discover its new original creation, broadcasting from 9:10 p.m. Oriental plain. This unique series in eight episodes explores the universe of Corsican banditry through the gaze of Pierre Leccia, eleven years after he signed Mafiosa.

A dive into Corsican banditry

Here, the story begins when Reda comes out of prison. The latter hopes to reconnect with his former accomplice who have since become the second of Carlotti, the godfather who reigns supreme over the north of Corsica. Reda has trouble finding its place in this world of thugs which has changed a lot and quickly understands that it will not be accepted by the band of the eastern plain.

At the same time landed in Bastia his half-sister Ines that he has lost sight of since childhood. Today it is a young judge who joins the first antimafia pole made up by the police and local justice. Determined to bring down the godfather Carlotti, she offers Reda a secret alliance. Then signed a high risk pact between the two …

“A story that renews the concept”

In the casting of Plaine Orientale, users of Canal+ finds Raphaël Acloque and Lina El Arabi in the main roles. They give the reply to Veerle Baetens, Aurélien Gabrielli, Antoinia Desplat, Cédric Appietto, Henri-Noël Tabary, Eric Fraticelli, Julie Ledru, Rachid Guellaz, Véronique Volta, Denis Pierinelli or Adel Bencherif.
