Our

The Oura Ring is being upgraded with three new features that will improve the performance of the device for its users. The three new features are daytime tension, reflection and flexibility. Additionally, a new finish will be available for purchase.

According to Ora, the new features will help users understand how and when they experience stress and recovery in their daily lives. It will also enable them to develop balanced daily behaviors that build resilience and avoid the negative effects of long-term stress. The new features (and new colors) are being announced at the 2023 HLTH conference in Las Vegas, which Ora CEO Tom Hale will be attending.

Starting today, October 10, the new Daytime Stress feature will be rolled out to Oura users. It is designed to identify stress triggers by continuously measuring small changes in biometrics such as heart rate, HRV and temperature.

The information collected every 15 minutes will help users see which experiences add stress to their day and which experiences help them recover.

Holly Shelton, chief product officer at Ora, explains the new features: “Being human is inherently stressful. We all experience stress and it is often depicted as something we need to eliminate and avoid at all costs. When well understood and managed, stress can be your ally in increasing productivity, enhancing your creativity, and building resilience. That’s the power we’re helping our members harness with our new strain offerings.

Oura has recently expanded its range of wellness tools to benefit users. An important development was a partnership with Talkspace, an online behavioral health services provider, which was announced in August. This collaboration allows Oura users to share their personal sleep data with a licensed physician. By analyzing the person’s sleep patterns and daily activity levels between appointments, the physician can create customized treatment plans and set better goals.

Another recent addition is Ora Circles, which enables users to share three main data points (readiness, sleep, and activity) with professionals and family members. Additionally, in late 2020, the company partnered with Therabody, maker of the Theragun Percussive Recovery Muscle Massager.

Ora Ring comes from Finnish-based Ora Health Oy. It is a well-received smart ring that tracks the user’s physical activity and sleep patterns. It is available for purchase from Ora website starts at $299, A monthly subscription plan is $6.
