Common Problems & Solutions

Problem Likely Cause Solution
Name Mismatch with Aadhaar The name on your application does not match the Aadhaar database exactly. Update your Aadhaar card first at an Aadhaar Seva Kendra, then apply for PAN correction.
Authentication Failed Mobile number not linked to Aadhaar or server issue. Ensure your mobile is linked to Aadhaar. If linked, retry after 24 hours or use “Physical Mode” (Option C).
Application Rejected (Signature) Signature mismatch or unclear signature. Apply again using “Submit scanned images” (Option B) and upload a clear, black-ink signature on white paper.
“Record Not Found” in Status Tracking too early. Wait at least 3-5 working days after submission before tracking.
Documents Not Received You chose “Physical Mode” but didn’t mail the form. Print the acknowledgement, sign it, attach docs, and speed post it to the NSDL Pune office immediately.
