A compromising jewel for Ariane

Following the discovery of the ring offered to her by her daughter in the stomach of Durieux, Ariane smokes nervously in front of the police station. She comes across Boher, who reveals to her that according to jewelry, it is a standard and relatively common model. But the relief is short -lived for Ariane: her colleague believes that engraving can help them find the owner of the jewelry. For him, the message “from A to Z”, accompanied by a heart, is not trivial. But Ariane tries to put it on a false track, advancing that it is a “Declaration of love a little bogus”. But he thinks the opposite: “This text is like a signature”which will allow to get your hands on the culprit.

At the police station, the former Duieux assistant from 2022 to 2024 was welcomed by Morgane to testify. At the beginning, he rented his professional qualities, before complimenting her on his physique and his appearance. She was so uncomfortable that she stopped putting makeup and getting ready. But that did not stop her, and he became aggressive when she refused her numerous invitations to dinner. He criticized and challenged his work and his behavior, then took advantage of each situation to approach his body and touch it, pretending every time it was accidental. “Basically it’s simple, either I slept with him, or it would get worse”she said to Morgane. He never formulated things like this but it was implicit she said. She dared nothing because she was ashamed, and ended up leaving her post following sick leave.

Jules continues his investigation, while Louis is on a cloud

At the residence, Jules tried to obtain the help of Apolline about seasonal rentals in Marseille. She explains to him that you have to declare your accommodation to the town hall to be able to rent it 90 days/year. But just make a mobility lease to rent your property for 10 months consecutive to the same person and get around the law. Jules finds revolting that the owners make money on the back of tourists, while the Marseillais do not have access to these dwellings. Apolline retorts to him that sometimes you have to accept that you cannot change the world. Jules criticizes him for being selfish and cynical.

Louis Robbie is seated at the Mistral, glued to his phone and waiting for the slightest news of Barbara, who has to go back to the train. Zoé teases him and laughs at his “duck” side.

In the locker room of the police station, Ariane and Morgane put things flat. The latter blames himself for not having helped and listened to her colleague, but Ariane does not hold it against her, now that the truth about Durieux broke out. Morgane informs him that some of his victims are medium -sized and have clear hair, but they all have an alibi for the evening of the murder. As for the GPS data of the Durieux vehicle, they indicate that after leaving the palace around 9 p.m., he made a detour to rue Marjolaine for about thirty minutes. Ariane wants to go there to question the neighborhood, so that Morgane can stay at the police station type her PV.

More beautiful life, even more beautiful

Jules and Chloé come out of the visit of an poorly maintained rent with too high rent. Exasperated, Jules exclaims in the street “To the thief! Given their homes to the Marseillais!” The owner asks him to be silent, so as not to disturb tourists and give a bad image of the neighborhood. The neighborhood hears the argument and mixes with the conversation, storing on the side of Jules. He ends up kicking a key box on the facade and the breakage. While the owner threatens to call the police, Jules and Chloé run away, dropping a paper behind them.

It is finally the time of the reunion for Barbara and Louis who embrace passionately from the port. Lovers are delighted to finally meet, after nights to exchange by messages. When Louis’s phone rings, he refuses to win but the ringing continues to sound, and Barbara must start his service anyway.

A new mystery for Ariane …

Ariane goes to the restaurant where she was Friday evening. The server recognizes her right away: she chained the vodka glasses that evening. She does not remember anything, only her bank statement tells her that she came here. According to him, she arrived between 9:30 p.m. and 9:45 p.m., alone but not quite sober. Then a man approached it. After tense exchanges, they ended up laughing and left together. The server followed them at the exit of the bar, worried for Ariane, who sent her for a walk, then went up to the man’s car, a large black sedan. Ariane shows him a photo of Durieux but the server is categorical: he was not this man, but a great muscular brunette, in his thirties, carrying a gray bomber and rangers.

At the police station, Morgane takes the owner’s complaint who argued with Jules and Chloé. He brought a paper found in the street: he is in the name of Chloé Valère. He specifies that she was with a “Large outfit that is taken for a vigilante”.

… and an alibi

Thomas takes care of Yaël, while Barbara is preparing a business bag. He is delighted to spend time alone with his godson, and makes the conversation in Barbara who is not very attentive, too busy thinking about Louis, who is late.

At the same time, the latter finds Ariane who has a service to ask her: she wants him to serve her as a alibi, without asking questions. For Louis, it is too big risk of lying when he is under an electronic bracelet. Ariane explains that she was trapped and drugged by dangerous people. She needs him to say that they were together on the night of Friday to Saturday.

In front of the police station, Idriss questions the seller of the ring, who describes the buyer as young, blonde and pretty, but is unable to remember her name. Without being able to give more information, she leaves Idriss before turning back: she is sure, it is this waitress on the terrace opposite which bought the ring. This is Zoé.
