Common Problems and Solutions
1. Error: “Aadhaar already exists”
-
Reason: You or a family member already has a connection, or your Aadhaar is linked to an old inactive connection.
-
Solution: Visit the gas agency physically to check the “Dedup (De-duplication) List”. If it’s an error, submit a written declaration that you hold no connection.
2. Error: “Ration Card details mismatch”
-
Reason: The names in the application do not match the Ration Card database exactly.
-
Solution: Ensure you enter names exactly as they appear on the Ration Card. If the Ration Card is old, update it first or use the Migrant Self-Declaration if applicable.
3. Problem: Subsidy not received in Bank Account
-
Reason: Bank account is not “Aadhaar Seeded” (DBT disabled).
-
Solution: Go to your bank branch and fill the “DBT Linking Form” (NPCI mapping). Merely giving the account number is not enough; Aadhaar seeding is mandatory.
4. Problem: Mobile Number not linked to Aadhaar
-
Reason: Online KYC fails without Aadhaar OTP.
-
Solution: Visit a nearby Aadhaar Seva Kendra to update your mobile number before applying. Alternatively, apply offline at the agency using Biometric authentication (fingerprint).
5. Problem: Migrant worker without local address proof
-
Reason: Application rejected for lack of electricity bill/water bill of current city.
-
Solution: Download “Annexure I” (Self Declaration for Migrants) from the PMUY website. Fill it and sign it. This is a valid document for Ujjwala 2.0.
