RBI Grade B Syllabus 2023: The syllabus for RBI Grade B Exam is similar to that of any other bank exam. There are four major sections that a candidate needs to prepare to ace the preliminary exam. These are Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language and General Awareness. The sections have a wide range of topics on which questions are based. It is recommended that candidates must have a look at the syllabus & new exam pattern for the respective post they are going to appear in the RBI Grade B Officers exam 2023 and know about the weightage of each topic. To appear for the RBI Grade B Exam, it is important for all the candidates to know the RBI Grade B Exam Pattern which has been discussed below for Prelims & Mains in detail.
RBI Grade B Prelims Exam Pattern
1. Prelims exam of RBI Grade B Officer 2023 is an online mode of examination having 4 sections in total.
2. The total marks allotted for all the sections is 200 and the total time allotted for the completion of the Preliminary exam is 120 minutes.
3. A separate time will be allotted for each test and further details will be provided with an information handout which is to be released with admit card.
4. Candidates have to secure minimum marks separately for each test as well as in aggregate.
5. There will be a negative marking of ¼th mark for each incorrect answer.

RBI Grade B Phase 2 Exam Pattern for DR (General)
1. RBI Grade B Mains exam has total marks of 300.
2. The mains (Phase-II) examination for RBI Grade B Officers in Gr B (DR)- General is consist of 3 papers (Paper-I +Paper-II +Paper-III).
3. Candidates are required to appear for all shifts.
4. Separate Admission Letters will be issued for each shift.
5. The Phase-II online Examination will be conducted only for the candidates who are shortlisted on the basis of results of Phase-I and based on the cut-off decided by the Board.
7. The Phase-II examination will be in shifts. Candidates are required to appear for all shifts.

For both Paper I and III, there will be 30 questions and 50 marks for Objective questions (some questions carrying 2 marks each and some carrying 1 mark each). In the case of Descriptive questions, 6 questions will be asked, of which candidates will be required to attempt 4 questions (2 of 15 marks each (with difficulty level) and 2 of 10 marks each). In case, the candidate answers more than 4 questions in descriptive, the first 4 shall be evaluated.

RBI Grade B Exam Pattern 2023 for DEPR
1. The selection of the candidates for RBI Grade B (DR)- DEPR will be done through Online/ Written Examination and Interview.
2. There are 3 papers for the Examination. Paper I Objective Type (on Economics) and Paper II & III will be descriptive type.
3. Candidates scoring minimum aggregate marks in Paper I, as prescribed, will be shortlisted for Paper-II/ Paper III of the examination based on the marks obtained in Paper-I.
4. Final selection will be on the basis of performance in Paper I, II & III and interview. The interview round shall be of 75 marks.

The syllabus for RBI Grade B (DR) DEPR is designed as per the job profile which includes primarily undertaking economic analysis and research and contributing to policy formulation, apart from a compilation of data relating to select sectors.

RBI Grade B Interview
The Interview will be of 75 marks for each post. Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview, based on an aggregate of marks obtained in Phase-II (Paper-I +Paper-II +Paper-III). The minimum aggregate cut off marks for being shortlisted for an Interview will be decided by the Board in relation to the number of vacancies. Roll No. of the candidates shortlisted for interview will be published on the RBI website at the appropriate time and interview call letters will be sent on registered email ID. Candidates may opt for an interview either in Hindi or English. Final Selection will be through merit list which will be prepared by adding marks secured by candidates in Phase-II examination and interview.
Besides the preliminary exam and the mains exam, an interview process is also conducted for candidates who qualify for the first two phases of the RBI Grade B Officer Exam.
The final merit list is made on the basis of marks obtained by a candidate in his/ her main exam and interview process.
