For the needs of the shooting, an animatronic doll was designed with movements and real expressions that helped the interpreter of Gi-Hun Seong to slip into the shoes of his character.
“When I read the script for the first time, discovering the birth of this baby, I too was very shocked – I found that it was a great element in history”he confides to Variety. “As for the special effects, we actually used a robot designed to have the shape and weight of a real newborn. This robot had real facial expressions. It was moving like an infant, and its weight was very realistic. It helped me a lot in my game.”
