Possibly the nicest man on the planet, stories about Keanu Reeves’ goodness have been shared by the public for decades. The guy is a true gift we must treasure for as long as we can. Google Keanu Reeves and you are sure to stumble across hundreds of articles about how nice this man really is.

The most recent story about Reeves involves him signing autographs and patiently answering a load of questions from a young fan after deboarding an international flight. The entire exchange was captured by TV producer Andrew Kimmel who tweeted about the experience.

Other tales about Reeves’ greatness include him jumping out of a car to autograph a sign left for him while filming Bill & Ted, not touching women when poising for photos to be respectful, giving up his seat on the subway to a woman with a heavy bag, and buying an ice cream for a fan so he could sign the receipt.

Honestly, there are so many feel-good stories about Reeves you could write an entire article about his good deeds. In the words of Wayne and Garth, “We’re not worthy!”

Ed Sheeran

The ginger singer not only has a great voice but is a decent human being to boot. Sheeran often visits fans in hospital and is known to surprise fans at the wildest times, such as when he crashed a wedding and sang a couple of songs for the newlyweds. Sheeran has also been involved with multiple proposals, lending a helping hand when he can.

Sheeran also gives large amounts of money to many different charities and often shows up at local thrift stores with his old clothes to donate.

The internet is full of videos featuring Jackman interacting with his fans and being generally stoked about how much they are into him.

Even his fellow performers are amazed at how nice he is, with Claudia Karven telling The Syndey Morning Herald, “No, I thought he was too nice! Superstars are never as nice as Hugh Jackman. He doesn’t have any ego problems or that appetite for attention.”

Gina Rodriquez

On-screen she played a sweet character on Jane the Virgin and that seems to carry over into the real world. Gina Rodriquez showed her nice side when a fan asked to borrow her 2015 Golden Globe dress for her school prom. Rodriquez happily obliged and made the young fan’s dreams come true.

George Clooney

The modern-day Carey Grant is not just a great actor, but also a wonderful human being. When he’s not involved with humanitarian work, supporting numerous political and social causes, or donating millions of dollars to different charities and organizations, Geroge Clooney finds the time to be a good dude.

You never hear a bad word said about the silver fox, and if you are a friend, he really takes care of you. The Ocean’s 11 star once gave 14 of his closest friends $1 million each just for being his mate. Do you think he needs some new friends?

Patrick Stewart

Famous for his role as Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek and Professor X in the X-Men franchise, Patrick Stewart is also a fantastic bloke when the cameras are not rolling. Many of the best stories about Stewart involve him being a great tipper and extremely nice to waiting staff. At one restaurant he went into the kitchen to thank the cooks and thanked all the staff individually. Then there is the story below from Reddit user Verklemptomaniac that sums up the great man perfectly.

“My sister was waiting tables in NYC and ended up serving Patrick Stewart. She didn’t want to bother him, so she just did her job, but at the end of the night, she told him how much she had enjoyed seeing him in a production of Hamlet that year (2008), and that she hoped he was planning to do more theater in the US.

“My sister was prepared to leave it at that, but apparently, he was so thrilled at someone who wanted to talk about his theater work (as opposed to Star Trek), that he ended up talking to my sister for a while about his experiences on stage. Just a really nice guy who loves acting.”

Ryan Gosling

It’s easy to believe Canadian actor Ryan Gosling is a nice celebrity. A private person who is always kind and considerate in interviews, Gosling carries himself well and is the type of person you would like to have as a mate. He’s also the type of guy to do something nice for no reason other than because he can, as Reddit user MaynardJayTwa shared.

“Ryan Gosling paid for my parking on Hollywood Boulevard once. We had parked in the same parking lot. He was leaving and we were arriving, and I struck up a convo with him real quick. He asked where I was from and why I was there, and who I was with (spring break, nine friends, two cars).

“And he was like, ‘Oh, you guys have 40 bucks to drop on just parking? Must be loaded.’ I chuckled and was about to say something back, and he just said the coolest thing to me: ‘Don’t worry about parking today, man, I’ll cover you all for the weekend. Have a fun spring break!’ It was so cool. He is JUST as nice in real life as you think he would be.”

Oprah Winfrey

Considering she used to give away cars to her entire studio audience when she had her own talk show, it’s no surprise Oprah Winfrey is a nice person off-camera. She once gave her workers a bonus while she was on holiday because she knew they would still be working and is known to be approachable and happy to chat with fans.

Jennifer Lawrence

What makes Jennifer Lawrence so likable is her relatable appeal. She acts like a normal person whether she is at an awards show or getting coffee at her local cafe. She is always very nice when fans ask her for a photo or an autograph and is happy living a semi-normal life and doesn’t flout her wealth like many celebrities.

Steve Buscemi

The “funny-looking” guy from Fargo is one of Hollywood’s best character actors, and also a great guy. If you need proof, just remember the former firefighter dropped everything he was doing and returned to the job for five days when the 9/11 attacks occurred. He spent time with his old firehouse digging through rubble looking for survivors, showing how much he cares for others.

Lady Gaga

The Bad Romance and Shallow singer is another of the nicest celebrities in Hollywood. There are many stories about people running into Lady Gaga and having positive interactions with her. Dolly Parton

Who doesn’t love Dolly Parton? The talented country singer has an infectious personality and you can’t help but smile when you hear her talk or see her in person. Not only has her philanthropic work raised millions of dollars, but Parton sees everyone as an equal, as relayed in this story by Reddit user ]unicacher.

“Dolly Parton is without a doubt one of the most polite, friendly, and welcoming human beings I have ever met. I was catering backstage at one of her concerts. My job was to prepare the buffet for the backstage guests and basically be invisible. She entered the room and greeted everybody like they were family. Then she saw me and my coworker and said, ‘Aw, come on over here. We’re all family here!’ She made herself an equal to everybody in the room.”

LeBron James

Los Angeles Laker LeBron James is arguably the greatest basketball player of all time. He’s also one of the nicest. Having worked as a wrestler for over a decade, Johnson understands how much the fans mean and always has time to share moments with them. He is one celebrity where there are endless stories about how great a guy he is.

Some of the nice things Johnson has done include taking a young fan and his family fishing for the day, carrying a family’s bags off a plane, surprising fans at a tasting of his Teremana Tequila, and granting wishes to kids.

He puts being the nicest celeb down to a moment early in his wrestling career when he was approached by a couple of fans and acted arrogant and dismissive. Since then he’s vowed to always be a nice guy.

Mila Kunis

Mila Kunis is a lifelong Trekkie and not afraid to say it. She loves the movies and TV shows so much that she even went to Star Trek: The Experience in Las Vegas where she mingled with fans and took the time to sign autographs and take pictures. Along with chatting to fans, Kunis is loved for her great sense of humor and ability to relate to the common person, despite being a millionaire.

Adam Sandler

The Sandman is about as normal as you can get when it comes to celebrities. He dresses like a daggy (or should that be cool?) dad, loves shooting hoops on the street with strangers, and is generally just a down-to-earth guy who is never rude or disrespectful to fans. One story shared by Reddit user nmneedle says all you need to know about Adam Sandler as a human being.

“Some years back, my grandmother (then about 75 years old) and Adam Sandler’s father had back-to-back chemo appointments in Boston. Every week she would see Adam, in sunglasses, come with his father to chemo. Her cancer was stage 3 at this point, and she was under a great deal of stress, and honest to God, Adam used to rub her back and ease her nerves before going in.”

“Unfortunately, his dad died that year, but my grandmother made a full recovery. Never really liked Adam’s stuff that much, but the way he treated my sick, elderly grandmother was incredible. I tell this story all the time and nobody believes me. But it really, really happened. What a great guy.”
