Great ambitions
The director of natives has great ambitions. He wants to achieve a trilogy based on relations between the USA and the Arab world. The first feature film in this series will be just like a woman, road-movie with Sienna Miller and Golshifteh Farahani.
Rachid Bouchareb wishes to shoot his trilogy between 2011 and 2013. Each film will have its own genre, from road movie to thriller via the Buddy Movie. Bouchareb concretizes the opus road movie with Just like to Woman.
The story follows the route of two women through the USA. The first wants to realize her dream: to become a professional belly dancer. As for the second, she tries to escape the police. Their friendship will seal their destinies and change them forever.
After putting this feature film in the summer of 2011, Bouchareb plans the Belleville COP adventure for the course of 2012. For this Buddy Movie, the filmmaker has already in mind his crazy duo. Jamel Debbouze will slip into the uniform of the Belleville cop and Queen Latifah will be his American partner.
The delayed project
Finally, it is planned that the trilogy ends with the enemy's path, Polar with Forest Whitaker, which will turn in 2013. Unfortunately, the plan does not go without a hitch. Just Like A Woman benefits from an release directly on DVD on June 4, 2013 and the Le Clye de Belleville project is offset.

The enemy's way arrives in theaters on May 7, 2014. The film was stinging a bitter failure with only 39,000 admissions in France. Therefore, the Belleville cop is put aside. Bouchareb turns to another project, Road to Istanbul.
This new film is released directly on DVD on September 20, 2016. He tells us about the story of a mother facing the radicalization of his daughter, party to make jihad in Syria.
