Thunderbolt 3/USB -C ports are available, along with HDMI 2.0 and a few USB-A 3.0 ports. The sleek design and solid specs make this model a great choice for many purposes. It’s also very affordable. A 27-inch screen might not be suitable for everyone.
We’ll also mention that Dells2719DC is relatively inexpensive compared to other USB-C monitors. This makes it an excellent entry point for anyone looking to upgrade to a USBC display.
BenQ PD3220U
The 32-inch BenQ 4K monitor makes a strong choice for designers and artists who want a high-quality screen and the best connections, but don’t have the budget to buy the Apple Pro Display. You can switch between multiple types of content, multiple computers, and dual-view files quickly. This monitor is ideal for professional editing because of its excellent color accuracy. The screen can be moved to a horizontal or vertical position.
You’ll find that the monitor comes with two Thunderbolt 3/3-USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, two USB-C ports, and one Micro USB port. This model, like all large monitors, requires plenty of space.

LG Ultra Gear 27GN950-B
This high-end USB C monitor is sure to please gamers. It features a 27-inch UHD Nano IPS LCD display that supports G-Sync and DiaplyHDR 600. The monitor also has a 1-millisecond response rate at a refresh rate. 144Hz with 98% coverage of DCI-P3’s color gamut (and additional calibration options, if needed).
The design is also a big hit with us. It features a strong frame and borderless display as well as RGB backlighting. You can even put it into sound sync mode so that the light changes based on your audio cues. The LG Ultra Gear 27, GN950-B is fully adjustable in all directions. It can also be used for landscape/portrait switching. The monitor supports USB-C and also has HDMI 2.0a, USB-A 3.0, and DisplayPort connections. Although this excellent set of features is great for high-end gaming (and editing), it is quite expensive.

The ViewSonic monitor is an excellent choice for those who need a professional USB C monitor, but not necessarily want ultra HD resolution. It measures 27 inches in length and is 1440p. It is easy to calibrate and emphasizes image quality (100% of sRGB, 4.39 trillion colors palette), making it an excellent model for photographers.
Ambient light sensors are an additional feature that can be used if you have a non-standard work schedule or wake up in the early hours. This feature reduces the brightness of your monitor when it is dark outside. DisplayPort, mini-DisplayPort, HDMI 1.4 and USB 3.1 are some other connections. ViewSonic’s most important features include its commitment to accuracy in color and its ability to help you work throughout the day. LG Ultrathin 27MD5KL-B
A Mac computer such as the Mac mini is a good match for the Ultrafine line. This 27-inch monitor is recommended for professionals and serious hobbyists who work in visual fields such as photography, video editing, graphics design, etc.

The LG Ultrathin27MD5KL–B may be flawed. However, the price is not prohibitive. Designers might not want to spend over $1,000 on a monitor. It’s a great option if you have a Mac to work with and need a monitor that delivers!

What is a USB-C monitor?
It is a computer monitor with a USB-C port. You can learn more about USB-C with our handy guide here, but it’s the latest and greatest USB-C port that fixes many shortcomings of previous USB connections and enables the fastest data transfer speeds with the latest accessories. A USB-C port will require specific USB-C cables to work properly.
Are USB-C monitors worth it?
In the long term, yes. USB-C is still a fairly new standard at the moment. That said, it is fast becoming the main USB connection used by devices. New devices and accessories tend to have USB-C connections, even some iPad Pros. So regardless of whether you eventually want USB-C capabilities.
Don’t worry if this isn’t a need for you personally right now, it’s not an immediate concern for everyone. If your accessories are a couple of years old, they probably don’t use USB-C. So you wouldn’t get much out of a USB-C monitor, especially if you’re happy with the way things already are.
Alternatively, if video connections are essential to you for a job or hobby, then upgrading to a USB-C monitor could be a necessary quality-of-life upgrade.
Why are USB-C monitors so expensive?
The answer to that is simple: they are new. The physical USB-C port is typically more expensive to purchase and install than older USB ports. The manufacturing process hasn’t had that long to develop properly, and the ports only appear on newer monitor models, which are naturally more expensive than older models. That combination equates to higher prices, at least for now. We project prices to stabilize as USB-C begins to become the ubiquitous standard.
Does USB-C support multiple monitors?
If you can. Multiple monitor setups depend on having compatible video ports. USB-C can handle video, so as long as your PC or laptop has a USB-C output, everything should work fine. Is Thunderbolt 3 the same as USB-C?
USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 are similar technologies in that they use the same port, but they have quite different capabilities. Thunderbolt 3 is a separate standard with its own unique hardware needs. Some USB-C ports have Thunderbolt 3 (often designated with a lightning bolt symbol) and some don’t. Thunderbolt 3 adds higher speeds, better video output support, and compatibility with devices that may require a Thunderbolt 3 connection to function.
Can HDMI be connected to USB-C?
Like DisplayPort, USB-C has an “Alt Mode” option for HDMI that allows connections to HDMI devices. You’ll need a USB-C port with Alt Mode support and an HDMI cable adapter made to work with USB-C.
Do you need special USB-C cables?

Can USB-C charge my accessories?
Yes, USB-C can charge devices, which means that if you plug an accessory into your tracker’s USB-C slot, it can charge the battery. That’s useful for many purposes, especially if you want to charge while transferring data from a tablet, digital camera, etc. If you’re particularly interested in charging capabilities, look for ports that have USB-C PD or Power Delivery. This fasted charging protocol can greatly increase the speed at which USB-C can charge compatible devices.
Does USB-C work with USB 3.1 or 3.2?
Yes, the two are different standards that work together. The letters in a USB standard such as USB-A or USB-C refer to the overall physical layout of the connection. Numbers, like USB 3.1, refer to data transfer capabilities and how fast those speeds are. USB-C isn’t always referred to as a data standard, because all USB-C ports are at least USB 3.1.
