The series takes place shortly after the sale of the Yellowstone. Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler are now leading a peaceful life in a small ranch built by them. But their past will soon re -emerge …

Release date: When will the series available?

A broadcast this fall is mentioned by the American media. For this, the shooting of The Dutton Ranch will therefore have to start soon (no date has been announced for the time being).

What characters from Yellowstone will be back?

Cole Hauser and Kelly Reilly will be back in the roles of Rip Wheeler and Beth Dutton. The flagship couple of Yellowstone was offered the reins of this spin-off, even before the end of the main series. Before that, the two performers negotiated a new agreement with the Paramount chain for many months.

To date, these are the only two characters whose presence has been confirmed in The Dutton Ranch. But we can also presume that Carter (end Little), the couple's adopted son, will also be back in this new series. He is after all one of the heirs of the Dutton clan, and will also one day be led to extend the history of the family.

What other Yellowstone characters could appear in this suite? Many hope to see Kayce Dutton (who will be the hero of her own series, see more below). But it is Lloyd (Forrie J. Smith), the old cowboy of the Yellowstone and Rip wedding witness, which we hope to meet the most in this spin-off.

Everything we know about the series

Not much for the moment, not even the shadow of an official synopsis. The Yellowstone finish had brought a satisfactory conclusion to the story of Rip and Beth: they left their hectic life behind by yielding the Yellowstone to the Amerindian businessman Thomas Rainwater.

A new life was offered to them on a little piece of land lost at the start of nowhere. This is where the new chapter of Dutton will begin, which we imagine that life will not be a long, calm river. At this point, the links that the series will be unknown at this stage with the other Yellowstone series series.

What new Yellowstone series are also expected?

Three other Yellowstone derived series are planned. The first of them is The Madison, whose filming has already completed. This new series will not follow the story of members of the Dutton clan, but will follow another family whose matriarch is camped by Michelle Pfeiffer.

Yellowstone fans will however be able to find Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) in his own spin-off series entitled Y: Marshals. In this new production, the former navy must regain service to eliminate a dangerous threat. The shooting of the series will start this summer, for a broadcast scheduled for early 2026.

Finally a third prequel – after 1883 and 1923 – will soon see the light of day. Taking place in 1944, this series will explore the youth of John Dutton II, the father of the character played by Kevin Costner in Yellowstone. No filming or casting date has been announced.
