Hey, Descendants fans! Disney’s Descendants: The Rise of Red, the fourth in the franchise, drops on Disney+ today, Friday (12 July) and will premiere on the Disney Channel airwaves on 9 August at 8 p.m ET.

Here, the villain kid Uma (played by China Anne McClain) has become headmaster of Auradon Prep and invites Red (played by Kylie Cantrall, the rebellious daughter of the Queen of Hearts, played by Rita Ora) to school. When the Queen of Hearts starts a rebellion against Auradon, Red joins forces with Chloe (played by Malia Baker, daughter of Cinderella) to go back in time and stop events that made Red’s mum evil.

Descendants: The Rise of Red is written and directed by the filmmaker Jennifer Phang, best known for Advantageous (2015) and Half-Life (2008).

Among the movies’ cast are Brandy, Rita Ora, Kylie Cantrall, Maria Baker , China Anne McClain, Jeremy Drift, Dara Reneé, Ruby Rose Turner, Morgan Dudley, Paolo Montalban, Melanie Paxson and Leonardo Nam.
