I have a question for the residents of Beverly Park: Do you think the rock is cooking?? !! Okay, maybe you’re not there yet because the deal has just closed, but soon some very lucky neighbors will actually be able to smell what Dwayne Johnson is cooking. I’m guessing it will be grilled chicken. Unless it’s cheat day. Then it will smell like 35 pancakes.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is the newest resident of Beverly Park. Beverly Park is a highly-specialized gated community in the hills of Beverly Hills, where some of the mansions have recently been listed for $ 100 + million.
Dwayne joins his fellow celebrity Beverly Park residents such as Eddie Murphy, Mark Wahlberg, Sylvester Stallone, Rod Stewart, Denzel Washington and Sophia Vergara.
With the purchase, Dwayne displaces actor Paul Racer, a longtime famous Beverly Park resident. But don’t feel too bad for Paul. He is getting $ 27.8 million, Which is a significant gain on the $ 6 million Paul paid for the house back in 1998.
Fun Fact – Paul also displaced a celebrity Beverly Park resident when he bought the house in 1998. Paul bought the house from Alex Van Helen, who actually built the property from scratch in 1993. In retrospect, it was a bad move for Mr. Wan. Move. Soon after selling the house, he bought a mansion in Hidden Hills for $ 2 million. Today his Hidden Hills home is worth, at most, around $ 5 million.
He should have organized it on Beverly Park!
The Rock’s new property is spread over 3.6 flat acres. This is important because a group of Beverly Park Mansion claims 3-4 acres of property, but a lot of the land is actually steep hillsides.
The main house is 15,000 sq ft. The guest house is of 2,500 sq ft. The property has a tennis court, elevator, movie theater, indoor swimming pool, outdoor swimming pool, “world class gym” fit for The Rock, and get it …
A Baseball Diamond!
Here is a video of the house from when it was listed back in 2018. You can see baseball diamonds at the 1:20 mark:
Outside California, The Rock owns a 46-acre homestead property in Powder Springs, Georgia. He bought the property in November 2019 for $ 9.5 million. For some reason Dwayne listed the property for $ 7.5 million, a potential $ 2 million loss just 14 months after the purchase. He has not found any buyers yet.
It is unclear if Paul Racer is next, although he still owns the record for a condo in Beverly Hills that was purchased in 2007 for $ 755,000. Talk about downsizing! However, I am sure he will buy something new within the next year, some of which will be deducted from the $ 23 million taxable profit.
FYI, the monthly Beverly Park HOA fee is $ 3,300. Also, Dwayne’s annual property tax bill would be approximately $ 300,000.
Thankfully, with total assets of $ 400 million and annual income of $ 50–100 million, I think The Rock can swing it.
