Since the dawn of time, and regardless of their quality, Hollywood superproductions have always hid some small errors. Often discreet, sometimes anecdotal, they mostly escape the lambda observers, but rare are those who manage to escape from the gritted radar of our house experts: the venerable Michel and Michel of false fitting.
Considered the first blockbuster in the history of cinema, the teeth of the sea of Steven Spielberg may represent a real feat on the part of its director, as well as an unbeatable classic of the seventh art, he does not escape the rule and also contains his share of small blunders.
At 15 minutes and 6 seconds …
While the film is broadcast this evening on France 3, perhaps you have noticed that the registration of the Orca changes from one plan to another, that seawater on the bridge of the boat suddenly disappears, or that one of the teeth of the shark is clearly made in latex.
You will understand, if you decide to rediscover the fabulous film of Spielberg armed with a magnifying glass and a remote control, you will be spoiled for choice for the false fitting question.

However, one of these blunders has particularly attracted our attention. Simple but effective, she is at the start of the film, in the famous scene where the chief of the Amity Ville police, Martin Brody, observes the bathers on the beach, just before the shark attacks.
… The watch has disappeared!
If you press pause at 14 minutes and 48 seconds, you can easily note that the character carries a watch on the left arm (see above). But a very short time later, if you stop the film again at 15 minutes and 6 seconds, it will now appear to you that the watch has disappeared (see below)!

Undoubtedly linked to a script failure, this small detail is a pure false fitting, in the biggest rules of the art. Once it has been spotted, we can obviously use it to impress your friends. Nevertheless, the question to ask is this: did this little error once prevented you from appreciating the formidable tension of the scene developed by Spielberg? We bet that the answer is no.
