After “Young Sheldon”, the new series derived from “The Big Bang Theory” will stage several secondary characters from the cult sitcom.
A fourth series by The Big Bang Theory will soon see the light of day. Entitled Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, this series will follow the adventures of several secondary characters from the original program: the comic book seller Stuart and his girlfriend Denise, or the physicists Bert and Barry Kripke, colleagues from Sheldon and his band.
After The Big Bang Theory, two spin-offs have already emerged. The prequel Young Sheldon who explored the character's youth, then his sequel Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage who sees most of the characters from the previous series come back. But the new production should stand out from the others.
A Big Bang Theory series that will not look like any other!
During a panel organized at the Banff World Media Festival, the screenwriter Chuck Lorre revealed that Stuart Fails The World plunges him into a completely unknown world, due to the large number of special effects. The program is also co-written by Zak Penn, known for his work on many successful blockbusters (Superman Returns, Avengers, Ready Player One…).
There are a lot of special effects. There are a lot of technical things – while most of my career is to film two characters sitting on the sofa, drinking coffee. It's different. This seeks to incorporate the worlds of science fiction and fantastic in a comedy. I am not at all in my element, which is exactly what I was looking for.
The writing of the first episodes started, suggesting that the shooting should soon begin. A broadcast from 2026 on HBO Max is therefore not to be excluded!
