3. Aharbal Waterfall

4. Noori Chhamb Waterfall

Even the Mughal emperor Jahangir was so impressed by the beauty of this waterfall that he named it Nuri Abshar after the Mughal queen Noor Jahan. It is said that whenever the queen came to Kashmir, she used to take bath in these waters at least once. She also installed a royal mirror near the waterfall so that she and the king could view it from their tents whenever they camped here. Now called Noori Chhamb in the local dialect, the gurgling water of this waterfall used to fall from a height of 100 feet, earlier due to natural erosion its height had reduced to only 75 feet. But whatever it may be, this place still retains its enchanting beauty.
What adds to the tranquility of these waterfalls is that they are not easy to find. It is located midway between Behramgala and Chandimarh on the Mughal Road, less than 45 km from Poonch district of Kashmir. It is often called the ‘Milky Falls’ because where the water collects at the base of the falls, a white vapor forms, making the place look very dreamy!
