The creator of “Squid Game” Hwang Dong-Hyuk spoke of the final of the third and last season of his successful series, to discover this Friday on Netflix.
In less than 24 hours, Squid Game fans will finally be able to discover the six episodes of the most viewed original series of all time on Netflix. The third and last season will offer a conclusion to the story of Gi-Hun Seong, and its intrigue will take place immediately after the final of season 2 which saw the attempt at the insurrection led by player number 456 fail.
70 participants are still in the game, to try to win the sum of 45.6 billion won. But this time, players favorable to the continuation of the game are much more numerous than those who wish to interrupt the game. There is no doubt that this new dynamic will have a strong impact on the turn of the intrigue of season 3.
Squid Game's main actor is looking forward to discovering fans' reactions
At this point, everyone will have understood that it is unlikely that season 3 ends with an optimistic note. In an interview with our colleagues The Guardianthe creator of Squid Game Hwang Dong-Hyuk spoke of the darker turn taken by the series in the seasons 2 and 3:
People love happy ends, and me too. But some stories, by nature, cannot have them. If we try to impose one, the very essence of history is compromised. If a story is the mirror of a situation, then the end is not always happy. Squid Game is no exception.
Also interviewed by our British colleagues, the main actor of the Lee Jung-Jae program admits to having also been surprised when reading the scenario of the final episode of Squid Game: “The end of the series was something that I had not anticipated myself. I am therefore sure that many fans will not see it coming. I think that the reactions will be very varied. It will certainly arouse a lot of discussion.”
The six final episodes of Squid Game are to be discovered this Friday, June 27, exclusively on Netflix.
