This science fiction saga with 13 million admissions in France soon leaves Netflix! – Actus cinema

On May 31, subscribers will have to say goodbye to this science fiction saga which stages popular toys.;

If you know the terms Autobots and Diedicons, then you are part of the Family Transformers. We are in 2007, when fans of the Hasbro game franchise and the uninitiated discover in the cinema the first part led by the master of explosion and action Michael Bay. A new science fiction saga had just been born.

A saga that made billions

There will be two other feature films carried by Shia Labeouf, before Mark Wahlberg took over in Transformers 4 and 5. This last opus offers a substantial budget of 220 million green tickets, which is explained by the use of two IMAX cameras in order to offer the most immersive possible experience.

Despite a saga that runs out of steam and the decisive box office figures (the 5th film was the least lucrative), the Paramount studios give the green light to a spin-off centered on the Bumblebee yellow autobot, this time by associating it with a heroine played by Hailee Steinfeld. This is the first time that a franchise film has not been made by Michael Bay. The prequel, which takes place in the 80s, is well received by the press and the spectators, who consider it the best of the franchise.

New heroes

If we thought that Paramount had finished, for a time, with this saga, the studios relaunched the franchise with the upcoming outing of a seventh installment. Entitled Rise of the Beasts, this is a reboot that takes place this time in the 90s.

Exit Shia Lebeouf and Mark Wahlberg, it is the actor and singer Anthony Ramos who fights alongside Optimus Prime and other robots. This transformers released in June 2023 notably introduced the maximums, predacons and terrorcons.

In total, all the films of the franchise will have attracted more than 13 million spectators in dark rooms in France and allowed Paramount to win more than $ 5 million.

So to get back into the bath and understand everything about the battle between the Autobots and Desticticons, why not (re) viewing Netflix before the departure of the 6 transformers and Bumblebee films on May 31?
