Even under the Warner Bros. Discovery regime, Max still has one of the best lineups of movies thanks to the vast Warner Bros. Pictures library of titles. But even among blockbuster hits, there are always lower-rated movies on Max that fly under the radar when released theatrically.
This month, we’re highlighting three underrated movies on Max that you should watch in October. They include a cyberpunk revenge thriller, one of the best Liam Neeson action movies, and a deeply dramatic turn from Denzel Washington that earned him an Oscar nomination for Best Actor.
Udaan (2012)
Director Robert Zemeckis flight What begins with a harrowing plane trip from hell that is saved from turning into a national tragedy only by the pilot, Captain William “Whip” Whittaker (equalizer 3’s Denzel Washington). It’s the perfect American story of heroism, except for the fact that it’s a lie. Although it is true that Whipp saved the plane, he was drunk at the time and put all of his passengers and crew in danger because of his carelessness.
Despite this, Whip is thereafter hailed as a hero, and his serious lapse in judgment is suppressed. But Whip’s self-destructive tendencies won’t end there as he finds himself in a personal spiral from which he may not be able to recover.

The Gray (2011)
gray One of the rare posts is-took Liam Neeson’s action movies where he’s not trying to get ahead-took took, Rather than Neeson’s typical revenge thriller, this film features his character, John Ottway, contemplating a move out of grief following the death of his wife. John and the rest of his coworkers take a plane from their oil facility, but with little hope of rescue, they crash in the Alaskan wilderness.
To make things worse, a pack of gray wolves begins to stalk the survivors and hunt down whoever they can corner alone. The oil company pays John to kill wolves as a sharpshooter, but now John must use his special skills and fight the wolves at close range if the group is to have any chance of survival.

Upgrade (2018)
very few people saw upgrade When it was in theaters, they didn’t realize it was basically a cyberpunk john wick, This isn’t a bad thing at all, even if the film’s production values aren’t the highest. It has lots of great action and a thrilling revenge story. Logan Marshall-Green plays Gray Trace, an auto mechanic whose life falls apart when he is left paralyzed in a brutal attack that takes the life of his wife.
Like any ethical billionaire, Aaron Keene (Harrison Gilbertson) takes this opportunity to test his new STEM implants on Gray in order to restore his mobility. Much to Grey’s surprise, STEM (Simon Madden) has a consciousness in his mind. And STEM also has the potential to transform Gray into a deadly device that can wield vengeance with its own hands… but not without a price.
