–   2- 3 drops of tea tree Essential oil.

–    2-3 drops Essential lavender oil

–   One teaspoon poppy seeds


–   Mix all the ingredients in a plastic bowl and make a smooth paste.

–    Properly deep clean your skin.

–   Gently apply the paste to the face and neck. 

–    Let it stay for 15 to 30 minutes.

–   Using a clean towel gently clean it off with a circular motion with warm water, or also you can use your hands to wash it off.

–   Remember not to rub hard.

–   Apply this mask once or twice a week.

Almonds and sunflower seeds

These help in guarding the skin’s top layer, so cells stay protected and healthy, also strong membranes hold water which helps the skin hydrated. You can also include vitamin E supplements, but it is better to get this vitamin from the natural of foods. Ensure including at least two tablespoons of hulled seeds or about 20-25 almonds daily in your diet.

Dark, orange, red-colored and leafy green vegetables

Vegetables get their red and orange color from beta-carotene which is a type of carotenoid (a group of plant pigments). This beta-carotene is converted to vitamin A by the body, which helps regulate cell production and helps shed old cells and replace new cells making the skin surface smooth.

These vegetables are also packed with antioxidants that help maintain fresh complexion. Beta-carotene, lutein, and lycopene also help protect against and repair the harmful UV rays do to the skin. Dark leafy veggies like kale and spinach are also excellent s of beta-carotene. Add at least two cups of these mentioned vegetables in your diet to get the maximum benefits.

Lean meat, oysters, fortified cereal, and eggs

These superfoods enriched with proteins and minerals like zinc and iron helps to maintain healthy glowing skin. Zinc contributes to cell production and natural cell sloughing resulting in glowing and clear skin. Red blood cells need iron to carry oxygen to the skin, which also helps in repair and bring the glow to the skin. The market is packed with protein and other essential multivitamin supplements, but it is always better to choose natural foods to get the nutrients. You must include one cup of cereal, three oysters or one fist-sized serving of meat or poultry in your meals.


Our body is nearly 70% water, and if you are dehydrated, the skin will look dull and unhealthy. Drinking at least eight glasses of water throughout the day helps to hydrate the body and skin. Drinking lukewarm water with lemon juice and honey helps to detoxify the skin resulting in smooth, glowing, healthy skin. 

Wild salmon and walnuts

Fish and buts with fortified eggs are super-rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which helps fight inflammation in the body caused by sun and stress. Inflammation increases the production of free radicals, which finally leads to aging by attacking the collagen. Eating foods which are packed with omega-3 helps fight wrinkle and are also useful for heart and brain health. You can easily find many supplements for omega-3 fatty acids, but getting them from natural foods is better. Ensure you include one ounce of walnuts or 3-4 omega-3 fortified eggs per day or you can also have 5-ounce servings of fish per week.

Dark chocolate 

Everybody loves chocolates, but you must be aware that sugar-filled chocolates can lead to wrinkles and acne. Getting the raw bitter dark chocolate is the best option to have for the skin. Researchers have found that cocoa’s flavonols may help fight wrinkles, protect from UV damage, and improve skin elasticity. As the chocolate is high in calories, you must not go beyond one ounce a day. It is advised to avoid processed sugar-filled chocolates instead go for raw bitter dark chocolates.

Red Wine 

Red wines are rich in antioxidants that help fight free radicals. But also remember that alcohol works as diuretics, and it can lead to dehydration. Dehydrated skin looks dull, dry, and wrinkle-prone, so make sure you do not consume any more than a glass a day. Drinking the recommended dose can do wonders for bone and heart health.

Whole grains

Studies have found that whole-grain foods that are considered with a low-glycemic index may clear acne. As compared to refined carbohydrates and sugar, low-glycemic foods do not spike the blood sugar. Whole grains can lead to a better digestion system, which can also help in maintaining healthy spot-free skin.
