In 1992, six years after three men and a basket, Coline Serreau signed one of his best achievements: the crisis, a tragicomedia which portrayed the emerging friendship between two completely opposite men.
Renowned lawyer, Victor (Vincent Lindon) learns two bad news: his wife (Maria Pacôme) leaves him and his boss dismiss him. Upset, he is looking for comfort with his loved ones … The problem is that everyone is far too plunged into his own problems. Everyone except Michou (Patrick Timsit), an unemployed person as endearing as they are inputable …

Before addressing her children through a long monologue that has become cult, in which she explains, without detour, why she went to see elsewhere. The opportunity to remind them that she is not only a mother, but also a woman with her desires and frustrations.

This tirade, which stretches far beyond two minutes, has become a reference in French comedy. This is one of Manu Payet's favorite scenes, as he had entrusted to the microphone of Allociné!
The performance of Maria Pacôme was greeted by criticism. The actress who died in 2018 had notably been appointed to the César in the best actress in a supporting role, as well as Zabou Breitman And Michèle Laroque.
