The National Testing Agency (NTA) has successfully conducted the UGC NET June 2024 Exam in 83 subjects in OMR (Pen and Paper) at selected cities across the country. The UGC NET Answer Key 2024 will be released by the 4th week of June 2024 at https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in/. Answer Key helps the candidates to evaluate their performance and also provides a roadmap for future preparation. To check the UGC NET Response Sheet candidates have to log in with their application number and date of birth.
UGC-NET is a national-level exam conducted twice every year (June & December) to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for ‘Assistant Professor’ as well as ‘Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor’ in Indian Universities and Colleges. The candidates, who are not satisfied with the Answer Key, may challenge the same by paying a fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) per question challenged as a nonrefundable processing fee.

Candidates must visit the official website of the NTA University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) at https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in to download their NTA UGC NET Answer Key 2024 for all subjects.

Steps to Download UGC NET Answer Key and Raise Objection Process
- Visit the official website of NTA i.e. https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
- Click ‘Challenge (s) regarding Answer Key’.
- Login with your Application Number and Date of Birth and enter Security Pin as displayed and submit.
- Click on “View Question Paper” for marked responses and to view or challenge the Answer keys, click on the link “Click to view /Challenge Answer Key”.
- You will see Question IDs in sequential order.
- The ID next to the question under the column ‘Correct Option(s)’ stands for the correct Answer Key to be used by NTA. The Dropped Questions are highlighted and not for challenge.
- If you wish to challenge this option, you may use any one or more of the Option IDs given in the next four columns by clicking the check box.
- After clicking your desired option, scroll down, ‘Save your Claims’ and move to the next screen.
- You will see a display of all the Option IDs you have challenged.
- You may upload supporting documents in which you can select ‘Choose File’ and upload (all documents to be put in a single pdf file).
- Click on ‘Save your Claims and pay fee’ or in case you wish to modify the claims, click on ‘Modify your Claims’.
- After saving the claims, you will find a screen displaying your Challenges.
- Kindly pay the fee by clicking on ‘Pay Fee’. The claims will be saved finally after the successful payment of requisite fee.
- Select Mode of Payment and Pay your fee @ Rs.200/- for each question challenged. Make payment through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking.

UGC NET Answer Key 2024 Raise Objection
Candidates will be provided an opportunity to raise objections to the provisional answer key. The dates for raising objections will be released along with the answer key. Candidates have to submit their objections in the stipulated time frame along with the feedback and pay a non-refundable fee. Challenges without justification/ evidence after the stipulated time period will not be considered. The subject experts will examine all the challenges received by candidates and then a final answer key will be displayed.
UGC NET 2024: Marking Scheme
The UGC NET exam will be held in Pen and Paper mode. The exam consists of two papers. 50 questions in Paper I and 100 questions in Paper II. With the help of UGC NET Answer Key and marking scheme candidates can calculate the marks that they are going to score in the exam.
- For each correct answer, the candidate will be provided 02 marks in both papers 1 & 2.
- There is no negative marking for incorrect answers in the UGC NET 2024 exam.
- For questions unanswered/marked for review, no marks will be given.
- If a question is found to be incorrect/ambiguous during the key challenge, the candidate who has attempted the question and chosen one of the correct answers will be given the credit. If there is any dropped question(s), marks will be awarded to all the candidates.
