UGC NET Application Form 2024, Last Date Extended till 19 May

The UGC NET online registrations are on going on official website of UGC NET (University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test). The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the official notice regarding the extension of the last date for submission of the UGC NET Application Form 2024 for UGC– NET June 2024. The last date to apply online for the UGC NET JRF Exam has been extended till 19th May 2024 up to 11:59 pm. Candidates who have still not submitted their application form yet have another chance to fill form at earliest from the official website of https://ugcnet.ntaonline.in or the direct link shared here. Only those candidates who fill out the application form carefully will be allowed to appear for the UGC NET 2024 exam. Read further to know the important details and application process for the UGC NET.

UGC NET Application Form 2024

CTET is a prestigious examination conducted twice a year by NTA for candidates seeking positions as assistant professors or junior research fellows. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the online registration process for the UGC NET June 2024 on the official website www.ugcnet.nta.nic.in. If you are planning to appear for the NTA UGC NET JRF examination, it is important to understand the application process thoroughly. Before submitting the application forms candidates must check their eligibility to avoid rejection of application forms. 

UGC NET 2024 Application Form

The UGC-NET is a test to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for the award of Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as Assistant Professor, ‘appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D., and admission to Ph.D. only in Indian universities and colleges. The NTA will conduct the UGC NET 2024 exam on 18th June 2024 in 83 subjects for JRFs and Assistant Professors. The authorities have extended a few dates for online registrations, candidates can now pay application fees till 20th May 2024 up to 11:59 pm.

Eligibility Criteria for UGC NET 2024 June Exam

Qualifying Examination: Any UR/ UR-EWS candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in a Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC.

or

 The candidates qualifying in the NET, based on a four-year undergraduate degree, will be eligible to apply online for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for admission to the Ph.D but not for Assistant Professor. They have to secure a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate in a four-year undergraduate degree.

Note: A relaxation of 5% marks has been given for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS).

Age Limit: Not more than 30 years for JRF posts as on 01st day of the month in which the examination is concluded i.e. 01.06.2024 and there is no age limit for  Assistant Professor and Admission to PHD.

UGC NET Application Form 2024 Link

The UGC NET online application process is ongoing at www.ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The eligible candidates who want to secure their career as an Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) can apply for the UGC NET June 2024 till 19th May 2024. Steps to Submit UGC NET Application Form 2024

The candidates may follow the steps given below to apply for UGC NET Application Form 2024. 

Step 1: Click on the above-mentioned UGC NET Application Form 2024 link to get redirected to the official website https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in.

Step 2: A new window appears on your screen. If you are a new user, Click on the “New Registration” button to register yourself. Otherwise, fill in your details and click on the “SIGN IN” button.

Step 3: Fill in all the required details: Application Number, Password, and Security Pin, and then click on the login button.

Step 4: Now choose the Exam Centre and the medium of exam for UGC NET 2024 in which you want to attempt the paper.

Step 5: Enter your Aadhar card number, choose your gender, and category and finally select the status of Employment and the status of the Qualifying Exam.

Step 6: Now fill in your Educational Details, the most recent qualification you hold, your percentage etc.

Step 7: After that, you are required to provide your communication address, phone number and email ID.

Step 8: Upload your photo and signature. Both images must be in jpg/jpeg format and must have a white background.

Step 9: You will be directed to the payment page. The payment can be made for the UGC NET 2024 Exam through online or offline mode.

Step 10: Click on the “SUBMIT” button. Download the confirmation page for future reference.

Important Instruction for Photograph and Signature

  • The scanned images of the latest photographs and signature should be in jpg/jpeg format.
  • The size of the photograph and signature must be of the following dimensions.
