WB Primary TET Syllabus 2023 (প্রাইমারি টেট সিলেবাস)

As announced by the West Bengal Board of Primary Education, the Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET) for the primary section would be conducted on 10th December 2023 (Sunday). West Bengal TET is a state-level eligibility test conducted in offline mode (pen-paper). According to WB Primary TET Syllabus and Exam Pattern, there will be 2 papers i.e Paper I for classes 1 to 5 and Paper II for classes 6 to 8. WB Primary TET Exam Pattern 2023

WB TET Primary TET Syllabus and Exam Pattern depict that there are five subjects in Paper I i.e. Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I: English, Language-II: Bengali, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. For Paper-II, the candidates will have to mandatorily prepare for major subjects including Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, Mathematics, and Science or Social Studies. For Paper II, there will be an option between Mathematics and Science and Social Studies.

  1. As per the WB Primary TET Exam Pattern, there will be two papers i.e Paper I for classes 1 to 5 while Paper II for classes 6 to 8.
  2. There will be 150 multiple choice questions (MCQs) carrying 01 mark each for both Paper- I and Paper- II.
  3. The candidates will get 3 hours to appear for the test (separately for each paper).
  4. As WB TET is an eligibility test, therefore there will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.

WB Primary TET Exam Pattern 2023 for Paper 2

For Paper 2 also there will be 5 subjects namely Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, Mathematics, and Science or Social Studies. The candidates will be given the option to choose between Mathematics & Science and Social Studies.
