There is a very nominal fee for WBCS online application. The fee is non-refundable for all categories.

How to fill WBCS Online Form 2022?
WBCS online applications will start on 03rd March 2022. The eligible candidates must know the following steps to fill out the online application form.
- Visit the official website of West Bengal Public Service Commission @https://wbpsc.gov.in/ or click on the direct link given above in the article.
- Register yourself by clicking on “ONE TIME REGISTRATION”.
- Fill in your details.
- Now Click on “Login if Already Registered” and log in with your credentials.
- Now enter all the required details as mentioned in WBCS Application Form.
- Pay the required fee.
- Submit the WBCS Application Form
- Download and take a printout of the WBCS Application Form for future reference.
WBCS Eligibility Criteria 2022
WBPSC Eligibility 2022 will be released in the official WBCS 2022 notification. The WBCS eligibility criteria are the minimum requirement for applying for WBCS Examination.
WBCS Nationality
As per the WBCS 2022 eligibility criteria, notified by the West Bengal Public Service Commission, the candidate must be
(a) A citizen of India (either natural or by registration), or
(b) Such other nationals as declared eligible by the Govt. of India.
WBCS Education Qualification
The candidate must hold a graduate degree i.e an undergraduate degree in any discipline from any recognized University as per WBCS 2022 notification. Additionally, the aspirant should have the ability to read, write and speak in Bengali (except those aspirants whose mother tongue is Nepali).
WBCS Age Limit
WBPSC has notified the WBCS age limit 2022 for the West Bengal civil services examination for all the Group Services. The details of the WBCS age limit are given below.

WBCS Age Relaxation
There is no age relaxation for WBCS 2022. The only age limit relaxation is given to ST as per WBPSC Notification 2022. The WBCS Age Relaxation for various categories is mentioned below:

WBCS Exam Pattern 2022
As per the notification issued by West Bengal Public Service Commission for WBCS 2022 Exam, the selection includes three phases-
- Preliminary exam
- Main Exam
- Personality Test
The marks obtained in this examination by the candidates in Prelims Exam will not be considered for final selection. Only those candidates who will be declared qualified at the Preliminary Examination in a year shall be eligible for appearing in W.B.C.S.(Exe.) etc.(Main) Examination.
WBCS Prelims Exam Pattern 2022
- The Preliminary Examination will serve as a Screening Test only for the purpose of selection of candidates for the Main Examination.
- The Preliminary Examination will consist of only one paper i.e. “General Studies”.
- The paper will be of an objective type consisting of 200 multiple-choice questions. The paper will carry 200 marks and will be of 2½ hours duration.
- The standard of the paper will be of the level of knowledge as expected of a graduate of any faculty of a recognized University.
- The paper will include questions covering the following fields of knowledge:

- The Main Examination shall consist of six compulsory papers and one optional subject consisting of two papers (Only for candidates applying for group A and/or B) to be chosen by the candidates from the list of optional subjects given below.
- There will be two papers on the optional subject of 200 marks each.
- Each paper, Compulsory or Optional, will carry 200 marks and will be of 3 hours duration.

WBCS Interview
A number of candidates selected in order of merit on the results of the Main Examination for all the services and posts included in Groups A, B, C, and D shall have to appear at a Personality Test. Each candidate will be asked questions on matters of general interest. The object of the test will be to assess the candidate’s personal qualities e.g., alertness of mind, power of clear and logical exposition, intellectual and moral integrity, leadership, and also the candidate’s range of interests. Candidates can check the marks allotted to the Group A, B, C & D Services to the WBCS Interview/ Personality Test from the table given below.
