The home of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the Star Wars saga, streaming service Disney+ has plenty to offer subscribers, and the list keeps getting longer with more movies and series added every month. Our top pick for August

What If…?

Marvel’s next big project for TV takes a cue from the popular What If? comic book series that explores what might have happened if major events in the Marvel universe unfolded in a different way. Some stories confirmed for the animated series so far include a look at how things would have gone if Peggy Carter — not Steve Rogers — had taken the super-soldier serum during World War II, and what the MCU would look like if T’Challa had gone into space and become Star-Lord (instead of Peter Quill). In most cases, the original MCU actors reprise their roles for the show, voicing their characters in the alternate-timeline adventures.
