Android 14 is now here, and as usual, the first to get it is Google’s own Pixel phone family. Samsung has already released the One UI 6 update based on Android 14 for its latest flagship phones and continues testing for older devices, while Nothing is still in the beta-testing phase.

If you’re buying an Android phone that’s still stuck on an older Android build, here’s everything we know about the official Android 14 rollout plans for all the major brands available in the US market.

Google’s Pixel devices were the first to receive the Android 14 beta, so naturally, they were also the first for the general release. However, while Android 13 can be installed on devices going back to Pixel 4, Google has decided to phase out some older Pixel devices with Android 14.

All the following Google Pixel devices have received the Android 14 update:

If you didn’t receive Android 14 automatically via the stable update route from the Settings app, you can flash system images using the Android Flash Tool. Details about the file packages and necessary instructions are available in the Android Developers Guide.

Samsung was one of the first smartphone brands to start beta testing Android 14 on its phones, starting with its latest trio of flagship phones – including the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. Currently, the stable Android 14 update for the Galaxy S23 trio is rolling out in multiple countries.

Like Google, Samsung offers multiple years of support for its flagship phones, meaning previous generation flagships and foldable phones should safely be on the update roadmap for the next few years. But Samsung has many more phones in its arsenal besides the Galaxy S-series.

There’s the Galaxy Z Fold and Flip lineup, more affordable A-series phones, and others. In its recent OneUI 6 announcement post, Samsung mentioned the following devices as part of its Android 14 vision:

Galaxy S23 Series, Galaxy S22 Series, Galaxy S21 Series, Galaxy Z Fold5, Galaxy Z Flip5, Galaxy Z Fold4, Galaxy Z Flip4, Galaxy Z Fold3, Galaxy Z Flip3, Galaxy A54, Galaxy A53, Galaxy A34, Galaxy A33, Galaxy M54 , Galaxy M53, Galaxy M34, and Galaxy M33.

Furthermore, based on the OS update commitment made by the company for various Galaxy smartphone line-ups, here is the full list of phones that should get a taste of Android 14 in the future:

We’ve contacted Samsung for more details on the rollout schedule of the stable Android 14-based One UI 6 update for their Galaxy phones and tablets and will refresh this guide accordingly.

Like Google and Samsung, OnePlus phones also get software upgrade support for four years. However, in the case of OnePlus, this rule only applies to the latest release OnePlus 11. At the moment, a stable rollout has not started yet, as OnePlus is still beta-testing the Android 14-based experience.

According to a OnePlus Community post, the OnePlus 11 will get the stable OxygenOS 14 update in mid-November, followed by other devices. Apart from this, OnePlus has planned the beta release of OxygenOS 14 in two phases for a healthy group of phones, which means they will definitely be updated to the stable version. Here is the full list:

October phase:

  1. oneplus pad
  2. oneplus nord 3 5g
  3. oneplus 11r
  4. oneplus 10 pro
  5. OnePlus 10T

november phase

  1. oneplus 10r
  2. OnePlus 9 Pro, OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9R, OnePlus 9RT
  3. OnePlus 8T
  4. OnePlus Nord CE 3, OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite
  5. OnePlus Nord N30
  6. oneplus nord 2t
  7. oneplus nord ce 2 lite

Older OnePlus smartphones – like the OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro etc. have been promised three years of software updates. Therefore, they are likely to get the update sometime in 2024. However, those models are not being included in OnePlus’ Android 14 beta.

Android 14 is already under testing on Nothing Phone 1 and Nothing Phone 2 as part of closed-beta testing. However, Nothing has not confirmed when the stable Nothing OS 2.5 update will start rolling out. has contacted Nothing for more clarity and will update this story accordingly.

it shouldn’t take anything Very Given the software similarities Nothing OS shares with “stock” Android, it’s taken quite a while for its stable Android 14 update to be released, but we’ll just have to wait and see.

So far, Motorola has not said anything about its plans to release Android 14. However, given the past trajectory of Android 13 updates, you could expect most mid-rangers and older flagships to get it at some point in 2024.

We checked the official Lenovo community forum for the Android 14 update scenario and only found boilerplate responses like this:

“We don’t have any details about Android 14 yet.

and this:

“We have not made any announcement yet regarding the Android 14 update. Even after we announce our plans for which phones will be updated, we won’t be able to share any timeline for when it will be updated.

As of now, the only device confirmed to be part of active Android 14 development under the Lenovo/Motorola label is the Lenovo Tab Extreme. However, based on the update promises made by Motorola for its recent devices, the following smartphones are most likely to get the Android 14 update, in no particular order:

motorola razr 40 ultra
motorola razr 40
