Although the park is spread over 7 acres of land area, it cost a whopping Rs 7.5 crore to build – all from waste materials.
An initiative launched by the South Delhi Municipal Corporation or SDMC, this magnificent park comprising of all the 7 Wonders, as the name suggests, has been built from scratch, encouraging greenery and a clean environment . Replicas include a Taj Mahal (20 feet), the Eiffel Tower (60 feet), Christ the Redeemer (25 feet), a Colosseum of Rome (15 feet), the Great Pyramid of Giza (18 feet), the Leaning… The Leaning Tower of Pisa (25 feet) and the Statue of Liberty from New York.

The park will be maintained by SDMC for the first four months and may be outsourced depending on the public response to this beautiful creation. The special thing is that the officials are also thinking of renting space for pre-wedding shoots and film shoots in future. This will help in generating revenue and will also enhance the aesthetic value in the capital city.
The scrap materials used to build these astonishing structures include bicycle and bike parts, iron sheets, fans, nuts-bolts and defunct sewer lines. The opening hours of Wonders of the World Park are from 11 am to 11 pm. The first of its kind in the world, this park sets an example for a better environment in the future!
