If there is one that validates the new cast of the series “Harry Potter”, it is Jason Isaacs. The former interpreter of Lucius Malefoy spoke on social networks to say all the good he thinks of the actor who will resume his role.
We announced it to you yesterday in this article, HBO Max announced new names to the casting of his Harry Potter series. We know in particular who will play Malfoy father and son, as well as the uncle and the aunt of our hero with round glasses. The platform has once again chosen British actors, mostly little known.
Johnny Flynn is the one who comes out the most of the lot: it was he who was chosen to slip into the black dress of Lucius Malefoy. He will have to do as well as Jason Isaacs in the movies and he placed the very very high bar.
But the actor has proven in the past that he could play morally doubtful characters as in 2018 in the excellent Jersey Affair. If it is still difficult to imagine in the role of Voldemort's Death Eat, his former interpreter has swept away all our doubts with one hand.

Isaacs spoke on social networks to say all the good he thinks of Johnny Flynn. The two men shared the screen in 2022 in the historic film La Ruse, also alongside Colin Firth.
“A fantastic actor, a charming man, to the point of being irritating and a rather brilliant musician. They could not have transmitted the stick with a snake head to someone other than him. But please do not sing …”, he said on X.
Isaacs also posted a video on Instagram where he gave him some little advice (including one on Dobby!):
“I loved him and you will love him at the minute when you will see him. I can't wait to see what he will offer. Johnny, if you ever come across it, have fun but a little advice: beware of the elves, these little bastards with the sharp ears that stabs you in your back! We see ourselves at Hogwarts”.
We will have to wait a few months before discovering all the actors in their costumes since the shooting of the Harry Potter series will only start this summer near London. It should also continue for several months, before the series entered the post-production phase. In other words, the return to Hogwarts is not for now …
